Not only do the leges include fictitious revenues in the state budget, but now they are debating when the funds might materialize and what the imaginary sources of the fictitious funds are.(See story here.)
That’s like debating the source of the Easter Bunny’s eggs. Apparently, the leges believe the Easter Bunny exists. Unlike the fictitious funds, we, at least, know the date when the Easter Bunny will arrive.
It’s hard to believe that some of these leges actually have their own businesses. They must have to hire someone to balance their checkbooks otherwise they will go broke.
As a friend of mine says: “There are limits to intelligence, but none to stupidity.”
