City Attorney Terri Scott asks…

by Yocamet Shu

July 22, 2013, Shreveport Government Plaza, Council Chambers, City Attorney Terri Scott falls on her sword for mayor Cedric B Glover as she admits that authorization has never been given to hire Attorney Ronald F Lattier to represent either the mayor or city in litigation regarding 3132 or the Dog Park. Shocking though it may be, Scott admits that Resolution 94 before the council needs to be amended to include language to the effect that Lattier must be specifically included for work and payments to be approved. Now the power is with the council to determine if Glover will be held accountable. Perhaps some love on Glover’s part in a back room will make this happen. (Video)

The public deserves the information and the council has previously denied the mayor the authority to pursue his fight on the dog park. 3132 was thought to be a dead issue, but now it may come back to life!

So, will the Shreveport City Council pass this resolution on Thursday? Will tougher questions be required? Or will new litigation filed in court by the Shreveport Dog Park Alliance compel the mayor to change his strategy? All these questions are part of the larger issue regarding the state of the mayor, both mentally and physically. We notice how much weight the mayor has lost and question if this is somehow related to his problems, or has something else allowed him to lose over 100 pounds so quickly… All these issues should be in the public record.
